PRE/POST CARE

PRE-CARE

  • No Alcohol, Caffeine, Ibuprofen, Fish Oils and Adderal/Stimulants 24 hours prior to procedure to prevent excess bleeding

  • Avoid all blood thinners

  • Must stop use of Retin-A for 2 weeks

  • Can't be on Acutane for 9 months

  • Botox done 2 weeks prior to treatment

  • Waxing/Threading and Tinting done 3 days prior

  • I prefer to use as much hair as possible so if you're comfortable I highly recommend letting your brow hairs grow out

  • Do not come to your appointment with a sunburn, breakouts on/around your forehead and brow area

  • Stop use of harsh skincare products(glycolic, AHA, salicylic acid) chemical peels and laser for 2 weeks

  • Not pregnant or nursing

  • Consult with doctor if any medical conditions present

AFTERCARE

  • Always have clean hands when handling your microbladed eyebrows

  • Avoid washing brows with facial cleansers for first week

  • After 2 days keep brows clean by gently washing with lukewarm water and pat dry gently with paper towel

  • For the first 2 weeks apply very thin layer of Aquaphor healing ointment to brows morning and night for 10-14 days

  • Avoid all skincare products on your brows for the first 2 weeks to prevent premature flaking and fading

  • Do not pick/scratch your brows during the flaking process, allow everything to flake naturally to prevent poor healing

  • Stay out of the sun as best as possible to prevent fading even after brows are healed (SPF!!!)

  • Do not apply makeup to the brow area for first 2-3 weeks

  • No heavy sweating, working out, tanning or facials around the area for 2 weeks

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Yours brows will appear darker and more sharply defined for the first few days.

  • Swelling and redness is none to minimal and will be gone within 24-48 hours

  • Once the flakes have fallen off the brows will appear much lighter and look as though the brows are gone, this is normal. The hair strokes slowly reappear as a lighter shade during skin regeneration

  • Total healing time is approximately 6-8 weeks
