FAQ

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo created to mimic the appearance of a hair stroke. Microblading is done using a small manual hand tool that implants pigment in the first couple layers of the skin. This technique delivers the most natural result possible by using single hair strokes to fill in your brows where needed.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

This will vary from person to person, depending on skin type and care. Annual touch ups are recommended to help maintain your eyebrows.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The first initial appointment takes average 1 hour 30 mins - 2 hours. The follow up touch up and additional touch ups take 30 mins-1 hour

WHAT IS MAINTENANCE LIKE AFTER MICROBLADING?

I highly recommend a touch up once a year to keep your brows looks fresh and to prevent excess fading. Applying SPF and avoiding harsh products will help them last longer. Please refer to my Aftercare page for more info.

DOES MICCROBLADING HURT?

I use a wide range of medical anesthetics to keep you as comfortable as possible. First I apply a topical 5% Lidocaine, once hair like strokes have been tattooed into the skin I will apply a secondary numbing that works within the blood stream for maximum comfort and a pain free experience. Clients typically rate pain a 0-1 on a painscale of 1-10

IF I HAVE LITTLE TO NO HAIR CAN I STILL GET MICROBLADING?

YES! I love when clients have sparse brows as I feel as though I have a blank canvas for the most natural look.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE SHAPE/COLOR?

I use various measuring tools to design a shape that will best suit your face and bone structure. I will use measurements to ensure they are as symmetrical and even as possible. We discuss your wants and needs prior to my design and I make sure we are both happy before anything begins. When choosing color I select one that matches your brow hair color as closely as possible, if your brows are light we can go darker.

WHO IS INELIGIBLE FOR MICROBLADING?

I do not offer microblading to anyone who: is under 18, pregnant or nursing, have diabetes, eczema around treatment area, sunburns, skin cancer, HIV/Hepatitis, auto-immune disorders, are currently on acutane, retin-a, steroids or any type of blood thinners or have a keloid disorder.

DOES MICROBLADING WORK OVER SCARS?

YES! I have had great results with scar cover ups, however the touch up session is required for the best result

WILL I BE ABLE TO GO OUT RIGHT AFTER?

Yes! Your brows will appear slightly darker, however you will look fine to go to work or about your daily life as my work is very natural and nothing will ever look solid.
